Process and water treatment chemicals for sugar mills
Sugar mills are where we started. We supply chemicals for juice clarification, mill sanitation and evaporator scale control, enzymes for starch and dextran treatment, and chemicals for boiler and cooling water.

Treatment for your plant
Microbial sugar losses
Microbial growth in the mill tandem and juice lines consumes sugar. Mill sanitation chemicals help control this growth and reduce losses.
Starch, dextran and viscosity
Starch and dextran affect juice processing and crystallisation. Amylase breaks down starch, while dextranase breaks down dextran.
Evaporator scale
Deposits on evaporator heating surfaces reduce heat transfer. Antiscalants control scale formation, while descalants remove deposits during cleaning.
Boiler and fireside deposits
Cogeneration boilers need control of feed-water quality and internal deposits. Bagasse ash can also form deposits on the fireside heating surfaces.
What we supply
Sugar process chemicals and enzymes
Sugar Floc for juice clarification; Alpha Quat 50 and Alpha DTC 51 for mill sanitation; evaporator antiscalants and descalants; viscosity reducers; spray pond pH boosters; and amylase and dextranase enzymes.
Boiler water treatment
Oxygen scavengers, alkalinity control, phosphate treatment and sludge conditioners, selected for your boiler pressure and feed water.
Fireside treatment
Alpha BG 301 slag modifier and corrosion inhibitor for fireside deposit control. Share your fuel and deposit problem when enquiring.
Cooling tower treatment
Scale and corrosion inhibitors and biocides for cooling tower water.
ETP cultures and polyelectrolytes
Cultures for aerobic or anaerobic effluent treatment, and Subac D for mills with a compost-yard application.
